Change is inevitable, and this year’s Early Bird is no different. With every Microsoft Windows update, we are challenged to maintain the functionality of People’s Choice Classic Accounting/Payroll for the long term. Therefore, we are informing you that the 2026 Tax Update for People’s Choice Classic will be the last one provided. Support will also end for People’s Choice Classic Accounting/Payroll by the end of 2026. This will be done in stages and details will be forthcoming.
However, we are not abandoning you! Our goal is to convert your existing People’s Choice Classic data to the PCA Desktop v10 that is our current flag ship product. We have converted a number of People’s Choice Classic users over the past two years, and we are confident you will enjoy the additional benefits available in the upgrade. The conversion will bring over your People’s Choice Classic setup: Chart of Accounts, Bank Accounts, Customers, Employees, Suppliers/Vendors, Inventory, AND ALL the historical data for up to 7 years.
The Early Bird price for the 2026 PC Classic Tax Update is $599 until 10/31/2025. This option is for People’s Choice Classic users who do not intend to have payroll after 2026. The cost after October 31,2025 for the LAST People’s Choice Classic Tax Update for 2026 is $799.
The Early Bird Conversion-Upgrade is $799 until 10/31/2025. After October 31, 2025, the cost will be $999. This includes:
¨ The first year’s annual license fee for Basic or Premier (future Tax Updates are included in the annual license fee) for PCA Desktop.
¨ Conversion of one People’s Choice Classic company data.
¨ Access to the new Support & Training Center with access to video webinars from prior year conversion trainings.

¨ 60 minutes of personal one-on-one support and training.
¨ Access to live “Office Hours” webinars that include tips for using PCA v10 that includes a Q & A session.
Why include the Tax Update for both People’s Choice Classic and the People’s Choice Desktop? It’s to give you flexibility when you want to convert to go live with the upgrade. People’s Choice Classic data can be converted any time during the year, not just at the beginning of the payroll year in January. For many of you, January is not a good time to convert to a new program. The best time will vary from business to business. Some may want to convert during 4th Qtr. before the start of the new year. The first year’s license will begin on October 1, 2025, so you will have until September 30, 2026 to convert and go live with the upgrade. The annual license fee will be automatically charged to your account on October 1, 2026 for $499 if you’re using Basic Accounting with Payroll or $699, if using Premier Accounting with Payroll. Only People’s Choice Classic users that use Accounts Receivable will need the Premier Accounting option. Both will include the 2027 Payroll Tax update.
Want a hands on option to try the upgrade before deciding which option to choose? You can log onto the current SafeChoice Customer Portal and download/install the file, PCA Desktop-Free Setup.exe, which installs as a 60-Day Free Trial. This installs as the Premier Accounting with Payroll and all the standard features are available for 60 days. If you install the 60-Day Trial now and purchase the Early Bird upgrade, we can convert your data and you can go live BEFORE October 1st.
