We have good news for People’s Choice Classic customers!

Last year, we announced that the 2026 Payroll Tax Update would be the final tax update for People’s Choice Classic v7.1c. We also announced that support for Classic might end at the end of 2026.

We have changed that plan.

People’s Choice Classic support is not ending. However, beginning November 1, 2026, support policies for People’s Choice Classic will change.

You now have three choices:

OPTION 1

Upgrade to People’s Choice Accounting v10

Early Bird PCC-to-PCA Upgrade — $799

For People’s Choice Classic customers who use Payroll and/or Accounts Receivable, we are offering an Early Bird upgrade to People’s Choice Accounting v10 for just $799.

Your upgrade includes:

• PCA Desktop v10

• First year’s annual Desktop license

• Annual payroll tax updates and PCA program updates

• Conversion of one People’s Choice Classic company dataset

• Access to the SafeChoice Customer Portal

• PCC-to-PCA conversion training videos

• PCA Desktop/Online Knowledgebase and support resources

• 60 minutes of one-on-one support

OPTION 2

PCC to PCA Disbursement-Only Upgrade — $199

If you use People’s Choice Classic for bookkeeping and disbursements but do not use Payroll or Accounts Receivable, there is an affordable alternative.

This option provides:

• PCA Basic Accounting

• No Payroll

• Up to two companies

• Conversion of one People’s Choice Classic company dataset

• FREE 60-Day PCA Desktop Trial

• An opportunity to review how your current Classic procedures would work in PCA

After the Early Bird period, the ongoing price will be $149 per year for a two-company license, plus $99 for each company dataset converted.

This is an excellent option for Classic customers who primarily need bookkeeping and disbursement functionality and do not need Payroll or Accounts Receivable.

OPTION 3

Continue Using People’s Choice Classic

If you’re not ready to upgrade, you can continue using People’s Choice Classic v7.1c.

Beginning November 1, 2026, however, an active People’s Choice Classic Annual Support Plan will be required for Classic support.

Annual Support Plan — $199 Per Year

The plan includes:

• One personal one-on-one support event

• Additional support events for $99 each

• Personal support by appointment only

• Access to the PCC Knowledgebase through the Customer Portal

• Email assistance directing you to specific Troubleshooting and How To documents

• SafeChoice e-Filer for W-2s and 1099s

• Special pricing on future upgrades to PCA Desktop or PCA Online

Important Support Limitations

People’s Choice Classic will not receive the same critical, priority, or emergency support available with PCA Desktop and PCA Online.

The Annual Support Plan does not include:

• Future payroll tax table updates

• Future program updates

• Future program fixes

• Future enhancements or modifications

The 2026 payroll tax update was the final People’s Choice Classic tax update, and v7.1c is the only Classic version that will be supported.

SafeChoice cannot be responsible for future IRS, state, or local payroll tax changes that may affect People’s Choice Classic.

The Annual Support Plan is intended to allow you to continue using Classic while giving you time to plan your eventual upgrade.
